It is hard to believe January and February are already past. The first two months of the year were busy for us. Because these are the months of summer break here in the southern hemisphere, there have been many conferences and camps taking place. Our youth camp was in January, and I followed that up with preaching a youth camp in Santiago, Chile. The week I returned to Argentina we hosted a pastors’ conference at the camp. Twenty pastors and missionaries came from all over Argentina, some with their wives and children.
The week after the pastors’ conference we started our family conference with Pastor Jose Luis Gomez preaching each night. On Saturday of that week we went to the camp in Alvarez to have a church picnic. Pastor Jose Luis taught classes to the men, and his wife Silvina taught the ladies that day.
In the last month we have had two new families begin attending the church. Maria and her daughter Silvina, and German, his wife Rocío, and their son Bautista. I visited German and his family last week and asked how they came to our church. He pulled out one of our tracts and told me that they had received the tract two years ago! Pray for these new families, and pray for us that we will be faithful ministers to them.
Also pray as we begin Bible Institute classes towards the end of March. We are currently interviewing men who are interested in training for the ministry.
Prayer Points:
• We need to purchase a property for our church.
• For new converts.
• For those who are training for the ministry.
